Now before you freak out, that’s a rhetorical question. I’m not really asking you to evaluate me as a blogger, a writer, or a person in general. Instead, I wanted to take the time to check in with you and let you know how I’m doing in regards to those New Year’s resolutions I made so long ago.
1. Editing my manuscript. Heh. This one. Sooo…. Progress has been made. Just…not as much as I had hoped. I need a writing buddy to keep me accountable. Also maybe read and give feedback. Any volunteers?
2. Publish four short stories. Well, one came out in February. I’m counting Nova’s Test, even though I’m not getting paid for it. And I’m working on polishing two other that I plan to submit in the next month. So if they both get picked up, that’s four!
3. Finish a second manuscript. Rather like my editing, this has been going a little slow. But I have NaNoWriMo in November, so I’m not too worried.
4. Have a regular blogging schedule. Hey, I’ve been doing well with this one! I blog twice a week! HOORAY!
So that’s where I am with my writing goals for this year. Looking at it all, I’m feeling rather accomplished right now!
Until next time, word nerds!
Kate. Let’s actually be writing buddies. Because I’m about 10,000 words from the end of my rough draft, planning on finishing this week, and terrified of the edits. I would writing-accountability-buddy with you…
DEAL! Email me and we can figure out a plan of action?
