My next project!

I recently finished a few projects: a novella for a contest and a play I was in that I helped write. Now that those are done, I’ve had to decide what to work on next.

Luckily, I had a burst of inspiration about a month ago.

So I’m working on a new story. It doesn’t have a title yet and I’ve still got a lot to work out plot-wise, but I’m really excited about it. And yes, it has to do with fairy tales.

The basic premise is a retelling of 3 different fairy tales all sort of mashed together: Snow White, Rapunzel, and Diamonds and Toads. I know that last one is a little obscure, so there’s a link to a post I did a few years back you can check out.

So far there’s not much to the story, aside from a few characters and a basic premise. Myrah, a girl who’s been blessed (or cursed, depending how you look at it) by magic. Rosalind, a magic-user who’s roped into helping Myrah. And Delmy, a talking hedgehog.

I’ll let you know some more as I flesh out the story.
